Eileen Curtis
President and CEO

Eileen Curtis has served as President of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce since 1994.  In that role, she has grown it into a large chamber that involves itself with workforce and STEM, diversity and  21st century issues.  She is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber’s Institute of Organization Management and of Leadership Fairfax.  She has been recognized as Woman of the Year by the Herndon Business & Professional Women and as Chamber Executive of the Year by the Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.

Vance Hyndman
Director of Finance

Vance Hyndman is a Harvard graduate who has headed our Peace Corps in both Thailand and Hungary. He also served as a legislative aide on the Hill, responsible for conventional arms exports and Asian affairs. Vance reinvented himself as a teacher of Asian studies at St. Andrew’s School in Potomac, Maryland, and then again as an accountant. He reorganized our finance department and set us on the path for regular external reviews.

Vance is married with two sons and lives in Chevy Chase. He is a master piper, loves to translate Chinese and is an avid bird watcher. 

Lauri Swift
Director of Membership

 Lauri Swift joined the chamber over five years ago and has worked on increasing the chamber's visibility in the region, as well as, improving the member experience. Prior, she was with the Connection Newspapers' sales force for 14 years. While attending NVCC, Lauri was co-chair of the Omphalso Literary magazine, was on the dean's list and joined the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Lauri is the daughter of former Congressman Al Swift and lives in Reston with her young daughter.

Lauri is also a proud graduate of Leadership Fairfax (LFI), class of 2014.

Amy S. Donovan
Director of Data Communications

Amy S. Donovan first came to the chamber in 2008 as a volunteer before transitioning to become our coveted director of data communications. In this capacity, she oversees all aspects of our member database, manages invoicing, and maintains our website. In 2014, she spearheaded the design and development of our new website. Amy meets the rigorous demands of database and technology management with skill and expertise, always ensuring quality results.

Amy loves to collect art, and stays busy as a wife, mom, and grand-mom. She telecommutes from Ellicott City, Maryland.

 Heather Gray
Senior Communications Manager
Heather Gray is our communications manager. A former reporter with the Fauquier Times, she has worked in journalism and communication fields for over five years with publication in USA Today, Salem Radio Network News, the Loudoun Times, and the Fauquier Times. She is a skilled writer, editor and photographer and manages our email communications, social media, websites, media relations, and also serves as our staff liaison to the Dulles Regional Young Professionals Committee. Heather updates member and committee news submissions, writes our press releases and works on our websites.

Dylan McGuire
Marketing and Communications Manager

Dylan McGuire is a recent graduate of Virginia Tech, where he majored in Marketing Management. Dylan will take on numerous responsibilities within the Chamber, specifically, spearheading our social media efforts for meaningful member engagement. Dylan will oversee our event marketing, email communications, and copywriting.

Dylan is both a Washington, D.C. and Virginia Tech sports enthusiast. He enjoys travel, golf, and being outdoors.

Laura Price
Friday Night Live! Coordinator

Laura Price is our driving force behind Friday Night Live!, our summer concert series on Herndon’s Town Green, managing sponsorships and many of the event’s operations. She also helps with the chamber’s Accounts Receivable. Laura is a super-volunteer, having served as President of Business and Professional Women at the local and state levels. She was named Lady Fairfax from the Dranesville District in 2006, recipient of Citizen of the Year from Herndon’s Rotary Club in 2011 and the Town of Herndon distinguished Volunteer Award in 2003.

  Nahom Woldesenbet
Administratie Assistant

Nahom Woldesenbet is our youngest employee who has served the chamber as an intern for more than a year. Nahom came to the United States in 2012 from Ethiopia, looking forward to achieving his dreams here. Currently, Nahom is attending Northern Virginia Community College and then has plans to transfer to George Mason University concentration on their Accounting program. Nahom has been a great asset to the chamber and has done tremendous job in events planning, communication, and membership. We have recently promoted him to Administrative Assistance.

James Wohlfarth
IT Administrator:              Friendly Systems

James Wohlfarth formed Friendly Systems in 1991 to provide computer and network support services to small businesses in Northern Virginia. Friendly Systems designs, installs, and maintains efficient, innovative, and cost-effective office solutions.

From 1981 to 1991 James was a manager at AT&T Facilities Management in Dulles, VA.  He was responsible for the emerging PC office technologies; particularly office networking and data communications.  AT&T Bell Labs provided James with intense computer education, including every major industry certification.

James holds three undergraduate degrees from Marymount University and NVCC, and a Master’s from Marymount.
