Chamber History

The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce dates back to 1959, when it began as the Herndon Chamber of Commerce.  The Chamber describes its footprint as a circle radiating outward eight miles from tower at Dulles Airport.  It includes the Town of Herndon; western Fairfax County, including the communities of Chantilly, Centreville and Fairfax; and eastern Loudoun County, including the communities  of Sterling/Dulles, South Riding, and parts of Ashburn .

In 2000 the chamber changed its name to the Herndon Dulles Chamber and took on its current name in 2006.  The Chamber actually includes two DBA  chambers under its umbrella:  the Herndon Chamber and the Chantilly/Centreville Chamber.

The Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce defines itself as a workforce chamber and is known for its leadership in the areas of diversity and education.  It holds over 300 networking opportunities annually, including the popular Friday Night Live! summer concert series on Herndon’s Town Green.  It is also deeply involved in community and is a leader in transportation advocacy.
